Well, hello there! I’m officially back in the real world, and I’m officially a married woman! Woot woot!
These past few weeks have been so fun, but have gone by faster than I ever could’ve imagined! It’s like I blinked and our wedding festivities had come and gone. The wedding went off without a hitch, the honeymoon was relaxing (besides catching bronchitis – boo!), and our reception was exactly how we envisioned it. I won’t go into too much detail on these festivities just yet, as I’m planning on writing a blog post on each one, but we are over the moon with how everything turned out.
Now that all is said and done, we’re slowly getting settled back into our day-to-day lives. We got some amazing wedding gifts, including some beautiful home décor. It’s been great getting to refresh our house a bit with some fun new items. This has also made my urge to start decorating for Christmas a bit less intense!
And speaking of gifts, we ordered our thank you cards this week. We ended up going with these by the Wedding Paper Divas Collection on Shutterfly. They look really good with all our wedding photos on them! Shutterfly has so many sales going on right now that we ended up getting 40% off the original price, plus free shipping. If your family does holiday cards, or you need any kind of invitations or stationary, now is the time to do it through Shutterfly!
I’m all about being authentic and honest on this site, so I’ll give a forewarning for what’s to come: wedding and honeymoon content will rule this space until the end of January. It’s just where I am in my life at this moment, and I’ve got so many things I think you’ll find interesting to share. If you’re not into that sort of thing, cool, come back the week of January 29th when regular content resumes. But if you’re like me and love reading about people’s experiences with their wedding and/or honeymoon, I would love for you to stick with me through this fun and reflective time of my life. Next week I’ll be starting a three week series showcasing all of our amazing wedding photos. There are so many (and I love every single one) that I’m breaking them up into three separate posts: family photos, individual bride and groom shots, and finally, all the photos of Phil and I together on our wedding day. I hope you’re as excited as I am!
Have an amazing weekend!
