I promised you all a post about what I’m currently reading, listening to, and watching. Well, an entire month later (oops), it’s finally here.
My mom and I are reading an E-Book together called Origins: Your Personal Source of Limitless Power by The Law of Attraction website developer, Katherine Hurst. I’ll let you read the website to get a better idea of what The Law of Attraction Community is all about because I was just introduced to it myself. In a nutshell, this book is about positive and intentional living. I’m about halfway through now and what I’ve gathered so far, is that our thinking (positive and negative) determines the direction of our lives. There are also exercises throughout the book that put your mind to work and help you discover what you really want in life. It sounds hippy-dippy, I know, but it’s actually helped me to better understand how powerful the human mind is and how connected we are to the universe.
Currently Listening To
I finished listening to the Podcast S-Town a few weeks ago. It’s produced by This American Life, the same people who created the Podcast Serial. I thought S-Town was extremely weird, suspenseful, sad, and beautiful all at the same time. And there’s a crazy twist toward the middle of the series that will cause your jaw to drop to your feet! It’s very explicit, so mature audiences only! Shortly after finishing S-Town, I re-listened to Season One of Serial (because I’m obsessed) and am now on Season Two. If you enjoy crime-related and suspense shows/books/Podcasts, I recommend any of the above to you. I’ve also heard good things about Up and Vanished, so I think I’ll start that one next.
I also finished up the new Netflix series 13 Reasons Why recently. It was such a real reminder to think before we speak, and that everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about. This one is also for mature audiences only and is extremely heavy. By heavy I mean graphic and emotionally draining, but worth it if you can handle it. On a lighter note, I’ve also been watching Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce and I’m loving it. The new season of Grace and Frankie is also out on Netflix so I’ll be starting that real soon.
And there you have it. A quick peak into what I’ve been up to in my free time.
