As many of you know (because I’ve only said it one million times already), I’ve been itching to start decorating for fall. The same day Phil and I got back from our final summer vacation, I stated pinning ideas. So this weekend was all about making it feel more like fall around the house!
I’m by no means a professional decorator, but I was pleased with the way everything turned out, especially the outside. Just about everything in this photo came from Lowe’s Garden Center. The hay bales came from a local farming supply store and the flag came from a local gift shop. The rocking chairs were given to me recently (hoping to sand and re-stain or paint soon!), but the cushions are also from Lowe’s. You can find a similar one here.
I also gave the back porch a little love by throwing two mums on each end table and a pumpkin in the middle of the outdoor coffee table. I’ve had this outdoor patio set for a while, but don’t typically keep the cushions on in the summer. I thought the red was perfect for fall so I decided to take them back out. Both are from Lowe’s. Find the chairs here, bench here, end tables here, coffee table here, similar rug and cushions here and here. Please excuse the two dead plants beside the coffee table… Oops!
I kept it simple back here and more focused on creating a warm and comfortable place for friends and family to hang out!
I added a small pumpkin to the entry way table just to help add a touch of fall in the living room. The gold candle holders and recycled window, which I already had, tie in with the bright orange really nicely!
I found these adorable placemats and mini-scarecrow for the dining room table at Walmart for under $2 each! I was gifted the tiny mum in the center of the table and stuck the cute little scarecrow down inside. The placemats have a matching dish towel that I hung on the stove, but forgot to snap a picture of.
So as you can see I didn’t go too overboard with the decorations, but it’s just enough to cure my desire for all things fall. We have some friends staying with us in a few weeks for our alma mater’s homecoming game, and I hope this will help them feel a bit more comfortable and cozy.
