Hairspray is a must have in my day-to-day routine. It doesn’t matter what sort of hairstyle I decide to sport, I’m always using some type of hairspray to help with the style and hold. I’ve discovered three different hairsprays over the years that I keep in my style briefcase. From light to firm hold, these three work with any hairstyle I choose.
1. Pureology Colour Stylist Strengthening Control Zero Dulling Hairspray – While I’m not crazy about the smell of this hairspray, I do love the hold it provides for my simple hair days. This is my go to when I’m wearing my hair straight or throwing it into a messy bun and I just need a quick spritz to hold the fly-away pieces in place. It’s a light-hold hairspray that’s great for color treated hair like mine.
2. Amika Headstrong Hairspray – I wrote about this product in my May Beauty Favorites post. I would classify this hairspray as a buildable, medium-hold hairspray. While much stronger than the Pureology, it still allows for some flexibility. I use this one when I’m trying to achieve an effortless, yet intact hairstyle. For example, beach waves or a put-together ponytail. Not to mention, it smells AH-mazing!
3. Kenra Professional Volume 25 – This baby is great for really full, voluminous curls or holding together a fancy up-do. I probably use this hairspray the least out of all three because it’s such a firm hold, but boy does it come in handy when I need it!
