Memorial Day Weekend

It doesn’t get much better than a three day weekend. If you had Memorial Day off yesterday, you know what I’m talkin’ about. If you didn’t, I’m really sorry. I hope you’ll get a day off sooner than later!

I headed to Charlotte this weekend to celebrate a 50th birthday! It was the birthday of one of my good friend’s mom. She celebrated in style on a 100-foot yacht that sailed across Lake Norman! It was seriously the best time. We danced the night away with a really fun DJ, ate like queens, and enjoyed some yummy craft cocktails. The scenery was stunning. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset!

These are a few of my gorgeous friends. From left to right you’ve got Erika, Reilley, Megan, and yours truly. It was so fun to get dressed up and have an evening out. I think the birthday girl had a fabulous time, as well.

I spent the next night at my friend Reilley’s house. We didn’t do much besides go out to dinner on Sunday evening, which was just what the doctor ordered. I got to catch up on some much needed sleep and spend time relaxing with my girls!

It’s always a joy to spend time with my friends. I love my boyfriend and job dearly, but sometimes you just need to be with your girls, you know?

I got up early on Monday morning and drove back home. That gave me enough time to have a day with Phil and the dogs before heading back to reality today. We took the dogs to the park and let them play in the water. They had so much fun. Neither one of them likes to actually swim, but they both love to lay in the water and bite at it. It’s hilarious to watch. After that, we rounded the evening down with taco night.

It was definitely a weekend well spent with some great people. I have to admit that I struggled getting out of bed this morning, but am happy to get back to my routine.

How was your Memorial Day weekend? Do anything fun?
